Finnish Cardamom Cookies

If I'm to get my 2-3 recipes for February done, I'd best get on it!
This is a recipe a friend makes; the cookies are traditional in her family. I adored them, and asked for the recipe. She sent me this link, which I've had bookmarked for about a decade now.
The only modifications I made to the recipe itself were adding both eggs instead of reserving part of one, and the addition of a quarter teaspoon of sea salt, and a half teaspoon of almond extract. If I'd used salted butter, I'd have left the salt out.
I baked them in an 8 inch square pan like a bar cookie. Baked that way, it took 30 minutes. The original version is very crisp; this is more like a shortbread. But it's very good, if quite rich. I cut it into 24 pieces, and I don't think I'd want them any larger. It's too late for caffeine tonight, but tomorrow I'll have some with tea.
This one's a keeper.
