musesfool: a loaf of bread (staff of life)

This morning, I made herbed cream cheese biscuits from the revised and updated King Arthur Flour Baker's Companion (page 69), which I received as a gift recently. Here's a picture of the recipe since I'm too lazy to type it all out:

These are very easy to make and they smell AMAZING while they're cooking, but I found the black pepper overwhelmed every other flavor in the eating, so I would cut it in half next time. I used fresh chives, and I only needed the 3/4 cup of milk without adding any extra.

You can also see the recipe and a picture of the finished product on my tumblr here.

Mods, can I get a biscuits tag for this?

I don't know why I hadn't made these before. Chocolate and peanut butter is one of my favorites. These are very easy and tasty. I didn't bother with the foil in the pan, just sprayed the pan and they came out of the pan easily. My chocolate chip bag had a bit less than half a cup of chips left. That was fine but looking forward to next time with more chocolate chips.
