Tried out a recipe for peanut truffles yesterday, Jordnötstryffel med mörk och ljus choklad. It's in Swedish which I don't think many of you can read so with the help of Google Translate I made this rough translation:

Peanut truffles

Ingredients
- 100 gram dark chocolate
- 100 gram milk chocolate
- 1½ decilitre (0.15 litre) roasted salted peanuts
- 1 decilitre (0.1 litre) whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon (15 millilitre) butter
- l decilitre (0.1 litre) roasted salted peanuts for garnish

Make like this:
1. Roughly chop the dark and light chocolate. Chop the peanuts (not the ones for garnish) very finely, preferably in a food processor. Roughly chop the peanuts for the garnish.
2. Bring the cream and the butter to a quick boil. Remove the pan from the heat and add the chocolate pieces. Stir until it has melted and is smooth. Stir in the finely chopped peanuts.
3. Dress a small baking tin or bowl with greaseproof paper, about 16 cm in diameter. Spread the chocolate evenly in the mold. Sprinkle the roughly chopped peanuts over.
4. Refrigerate to set for a couple of hours.
5. Cut into pieces. Store refrigerated in a tightly closed container.

Changes/notations: Made it according to the recipe but when I make it again I will use a slightly wider tin (17-18 cm) and maybe use a little less garnish. Or at least make sure all the nuts are properly stuck in the chocolate.

Verdict: Loved it! The mix of dark & light chocolate prevents it from being either too bitter or too sweet and the salt from the peanuts add the perfect zing.

I like making truffles, but I never thought of adding peanuts to them. I’ll have to try this

This sounds like an interesting dessert to make, I may just give it a try :)

I am far more used to seeing mL to dL though (or ounces if it's an American recipe), and I'm surprised the peanuts are given using a liquid measurement rather than a weight measurement.
